Ingredients:

2 cups Green beans
-
1/2 lb ground pork
-
2 tbsp cornstarch
-
3/4 - 1 cup vegetable oil
-
1 tbsp garlic minced
-
1 tbsp ginger minced
Pork Marinade ingredients:​

4 tbsp chili oil
-
1 tbsp brown sugar
-
2 tbsp soy sauce
-
2 tbsp hoisin sauce
-
1 tbsp sesame oil
-
1 tsp chile flakes or crushed red pepper flakes

pinch salt and pepper

Method:
Marinade
In a medium mixing bowl add all the above marinade ingredients

Mix well until all combined and brown sugar dissolved

Add the pork and mix well
-
Cover and refrigerate for at least one hour or overnight
Bean Preparation​

Trim the ends off the beans
-
Cut beans in half or bite size pieces
-
Rinse beans and drain in colander
-
Place beans into a medium mixing bowl
-
Toss the beans with the cornstarch
-
Heat a wok or high sided skillet to medium high heat
-
Add the vegetable oil
-
Add the beans a handful at a time and Blanch/fry the beans for 40-50 seconds

Set beans aside on rack or paper towels

remove wok/skillet from heat

Completing the dish

mince the garlic and ginger
-
Remove excess oil from wok and reheat on medium high
-
Cook the garlic and ginger till fragrant and translucent about 1 minute
-
Add the pork a little at a time and cook until thoroughly browned
-
Add the beans cook 2 minutes mixing well into the pork
-
Taste and season with salt and pepper
-
Drain excess fat and serve
