Ingredients:

  • 2 cups cold rice

  • 1 tbsp garlic minced

  • 1 tbsp onion minced
  • 1 tbsp butter

  • 1/2 tbsp green onion

  • 2 tsp salt

  • 2 tsp pepper

  • 1.5 tsp olive oil or vegetable oil

  • 1 tsp soy sauce

Method:

  • Heat wok or non stick pan to medium high heat

  • Add the oil 

  • Add the butter

  • When butter and oil bubbling

  • Add the garlic

  • Add the onions

  • Cook until fragrant and starting to brown just a little bit

  • Add the cold rice

  • Use a spatula or wooden spoon to blend everything together

  • The heat should be medium high, enough to hear a bit of a sizzle

  • Continue to cook and blend in the garlic onions and and allow the rice to absorb the oil butter mixture

  • Add the soy sauce

  • Continue to blend the mixture

  • Cook until the rice begins to slightly brown and the oil and butter has been absorbed and cooked into the rice

  • Garnish with green onion
