Ingredients:

4 boneless skinless chicken thighs

1 tsp cornstarch

1 tsp baking powder
-
1/2 cup seasoning... recommend one of these... blackened seasoning, salt and pepper and garlic powder, poultry seasoning, paprika, shawarma, zaatar, sumac, piri piri, or a spice creation of your choice

Nonstick cooking spray... recommend canola oil, light olive oil or vegetable oil as they have higher smoke points

Method:

Make sure the chicken thighs are completely dry and coming up to room temperature. I use paper towels

In a small mixing bowl add 1 tsp each of corn starch and baking powder. mix well

Put your seasoning of choice into a separate small mixing bowl

Trim excess fat from the chicken thighs

Slice the thighs into one inch wide strips and place in a medium to large mixing bowl

Add the Cornstarch baking powder mixture to the chicken strips and mix well. Make sure the chicken strips are well covered in the mixture

Pre heat your air fryer at 400F for 5 minutes

Spray the chicken strips with the nonstick cooking spray making sure strips are well coated
-
Sprinkle your seasoning mixture and make sure chicken strips are well coated with seasoning

Spray the inside of the pre heated air fryer with the nonstick cooking spray making sure the basket is well covered

Add the chicken strips to the air fryer basket. It's ok if they overlap a bit

Set the air fryer to 400F and 20 minutes and cook the strips

After 10 mins pull out the basket and give the strips a very good toss and shake then put the basket back in and resume cooking
-
At 5 minutes remaining and each minute thereafter pull the basket out and check for desired crispiness.

Serve with your favorite dipping sauce or hot sauce or as is!
